Hey! I'm an artist working under the pseudonym ashes2steel, and this is my tumblr for posting thoughts, ideas, sketches, drawings, and a whole bunch of nonsense out into the air.

My working handle is The Ashes2Steel Project, a more "professional" name for bigger exploits such as my comics. Below you can find the Facebook page for the Project, as well as my DeviantArt and a few comics uploaded to Smackjeeves.

Yay! We got daddy back!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Think this’ll be the last one for tonight. The villainous XIII.
Here’s a couple of neato factoids about this character, since he seems to be quite the favorite with a few people. While XIII’s origins are shrouded in mystery, it’s no secret that he is the genius behind the company Darklife & Co.’s aura transfusion, which strips a person of their aura core, which naturally generate’s a person’s aura. This allows them to be infused with Darklife, an artificial aura source that is more potent than natural aura. Of course, this supply is a temporary, non-regenerating source that must be replenished. Darklife can cause withdrawal symptoms, creating junkies, as well as having a chance of adverse mutation, rejection by the host body, aura burnout, and other terrible side effects.
In regards to XIII himself, it’s said that his grand scheme somehow involves harnessing the power of the stripped aura cores for himself. His name (pronounced “Thirteen”) is rumored to be a tally of the number of “souls” or aura cores he has consumed. His body is almost corpse like, and there is speculation that perhaps his body has become so mangled by foreign aura consumption (see above with Darklife) that he might have actually died - and that consuming auras is the only thing keeping him “alive.”

A while ago I did a bunch of faces of characters in an uber animu style. It was nice fun, figure I’d warm up by drawing them. Once again, Reven Nevergard. Pretty sure I’ve explained his characterization a billion times by now.
